Exceptional site for open market homes

Development land and planning experts Greenslade Taylor Hunt are marketing a residential development site close to the new gigafactory near Bridgwater which is set to create 7,500 jobs.

Gravity – sited at the former Royal Ordinance Factory at Puriton – will be home to Britain’s largest gigafactory after Jaguar Land Rover pledged £4bn to build Europe’s biggest battery cell factory on the site, which will become operational in 2026.

This means a residential development site at nearby Bradney Lane, Bawdrip, being marketed by Greenslade Taylor Hunt will be particularly sought-after by developers.

Offered at a guide price of £350,000 it extends to 0.76 hectares (1.87 acres). It is bounded on two sides by mature hedgerows. It sits just outside Bawdrip by the junction of Bradney Lane and Stone Drive.

The site has outline planning consent for up to 10 open market homes. It is the subject of a Section 106 Agreement which requires developers to provide a new village hall, car park and open space.

Interested parties have until 5.30pm on Friday, April 19th, to submit offers on an unconditional basis.
