Former learning centre comes to market

January 2025

A redundant building in the heart of a popular coastal town offers a host of potential alternative uses, subject to planning, now it is on the market with development land and planning experts Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

The premises at Princess Street, Burnham-on-Sea, which extend to around 0.1 hectares (0.25 acres) have been unused since Government funding was pulled in 2017.

“We believe it has potential for a range of alternative uses, including commercial or residential, subject to planning,” said a GTH spokesman.

A series of view days to demonstrate what the site has to offer are being held during February. These will take place between 9am and 11am on February 5, 12, 19 and 26. It is essential to pre-book these slots.

The property is on the market at a guide price of £200,000 and offers are invited on an unconditional basis. The deadline for the submission of offers is 12 noon on Friday, March 7.

Originally a school, the building is in a great location, opposite The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre and adjacent to Burnham-on-Sea Library and a nursery.
