Site with consent for two homes in popular village

April 2026

Residential development land with detailed planning permission for two open market homes is on the market with us.

The exceptional site west of Barn Orchard, in the popular village of Norton-sub-Hamdon, near Yeovil, extends to 0.47 hectares (1.15 acres).

It is close to local landmark, Ham Hill, which enjoys extensive views and is a popular walking spot.

In January 2026 Somerset Council granted detailed planning permission for the erection of two homes subject to 16 conditions at Barn Orchard.

The incoming buyer will be required to carry out infiltration testing to discharge the surface water drainage condition and confirm the proposed surface drainage strategy.

The proposed residential development scheme is for two large open market four-bedroom detached homes with double garages.

Access will be via the existing vehicle access from Bramley Fields.

The site is on the market at a guide price of £300,000.
