Chard office earns gold award for second year
October 2024
The estate agency team at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Chard office have much to celebrate after winning gold in the 2024 British Property Awards for the second year in succession.
The staff at 1 High Street, were judged in a rigorous process with the focus firmly on excellent customer service. Their dedication was recognised and it earned them the title of best estate agency in the town.
It is a particularly pleasing accolade as Chard was identified as a property “hotspot” by Rightmove, the UK’s biggest property portal earlier this year.
In April it reported the Somerset town was the nation’s number one sales hotspot with the number of sales agreed more than doubling (+123%) compared with the previous year.
The Sunday Times also identified the town as a desirable place to live.
James Waterman, Associate in charge of the Chard office, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious award yet again.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and this is doubly rewarding in what has become a very challenging market.
The Sunday Times has validated what we have always known, Chard was one of the country’s best kept secrets, superb value for money, surrounded by stunning countryside and easy access wherever you want to go!”
Having been named the number one estate agency in Chard the office will now be considered for a range of regional and national awards, which will be judged later this year.
Robert McLean, of the British Property Awards, said: “If an agent has been attributed with one of our awards, it is simply down to the fantastic customer service levels that they have demonstrated across a prolonged period of time.”
Chard has traditionally been popular with buyers at all levels of the property market as it is just a 20-minute drive from the attractions of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast, but without the hefty price tag.
