Exceptional Sites In Popular Devon Village

June 2026

We are marketing two fine residential sites for housing in Highweek, near Newton Abbot, Devon.

Prospective buyers may want to acquire both sites to create a larger development scheme.

The larger site to the North of Whitehill Road benefits from outline planning permission for 28 homes, while the smaller site to the south of Whitehill Road has reserved matters consent pursuant to the outline planning permission for five homes.

Offers are invited on an unconditional and conditional basis for the Northern site, at a guide price of £900,000.

This development, to the north, was initially refused by local planners, but overturned by the Planning Inspectorate, approved at appeal. The permission is subject to 27 conditions.

Any prospective buyer will need to submit a Reserved Matters Application to detail the appearance, landscaping, scale and layout of the proposed development.

Offers are invited on an unconditional basis for the Southern site, at a guide price of £700,000.

Outline planning permission was granted in April 2022, and reserved matters consent was granted in January 2026. In the proposed residential development scheme, there are three detached four-bedroom homes with parking and two five-bedroom houses with double garages.

However, our specialist planners believe this could be altered to provide five, five-bedroom detached dwellings with double garages.
