Last call for entries for land and property sale

October 2024

Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt are gearing up for their next collective land and property auction at Aldwick Estate, Redhill, near Bristol on Wednesday, October 23.

Already 17 lots are registered to go under the hammer, but there is room for last minute additions – but be quick.

Entries are also being accepted for the final two auctions of the year at The Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster, on November 21, and Batch Country House, Lympsham, on December 11.

Meanwhile the auctioneers report a successful September sale at The Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster.

A Grade II listed converted church and old school house at Hatch Beauchamp, near Taunton, was among the highlights.

Guided at £200,000 this investment opportunity comprising three self-contained flats comfortably exceeded its guide price. The gavel came down at £270,000.

A well-proportioned 1930s detached home in Yeovil, in need of modernisation, also sold for in excess of its guide price. It went for £176,000 and had been guided at £150,000.

Also topping its pre-sale estimate was an attractive parcel of permanent pastureland at Stembridge, Martock. This 3.22 acres of land sold for £50,000 from a guide of £32,000.

A comprehensive range of property and land from across Somerset, Dorset and Devon will be going under the hammer at the October auction, which starts at 2pm, and is also livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
