The initial six months of trading at Sedgemoor Auction Centre have witnessed an unprecedented influx of Prime Cattle, marking the highest entry numbers in a decade.
This strong supply has been met with exceptional prices, with many cattle selling for over £3,000.
Top Prices Achieved:
- Steers: A top price of £3,059.82 was recorded for steers
- Heifers: Heifers reached a peak price of £2,880.78
- Cull Bulls: Cull bulls sold particularly well, achieving a top price of £3,533.49
A consistently large weekly attendance from buyers indicates robust demand in the market. Consequently, there is an ongoing need for more cattle each week to meet buyer requirements.
