Residential development site on the edge of a popular Somerset town

April 2026

Our development land and planning specialists are marketing an attractive residential development site with resolution to grant outline planning permission for up to 22 dwellings, together with associated infrastructure works and subject to the completion of the Section 106 Agreement.

This exceptional site, extending in total to approximately 0.9-hectares (2.4-acres), is positioned in a rural, yet accessible location on the edge of the popular town of Langport and close to the village of Curry Rivel.

The proposed residential development scheme (PRDS) would comprise up to 22 dwellings. Of these 22 dwellings eight would be affordable, with six of these to be social rented and two to be shared ownership. Access will be provided via the creation of a new vehicular access from the unclassified road to the north-east.

Langport and Curry Rivel are well-established communities, conveniently positioned in the heart of Somerset, offering a comprehensive range of facilities and amenities. The area also benefits from excellent road communications to nearby towns and cities, as well as readily accessible rail connections to Bristol, Exeter and London.

To appreciate what the site has to offer a series of viewing days are taking place on Wednesdays, during April and May. These must be booked in advance and run from 9am-11am on April 29, and May 6, 13, 20 and 27.

The deadline for the submission of offers is midday on Friday, June 5.
