A Blistering May Machinery Round Up

Greenslade Taylor Hunt have been kept busy in the month of May with three collective sales and one on-farm dispersal!

GTH’s Farm Sales team joined the Yeovil team to host one of our newer sales - the Yeovil Machinery Collective. Having only been the third sale conducted at the site, the Yeovil collective is continuing to grow year-on-year. The fact the sale is still in its infancy did not result in disappointment by any means! Whilst the team was battling all sorts of weather, entries came in throughout the day totalling over 400 lots. Selling on the day commenced with a large, dedicated crowd getting soaked but keeping spirits high! Some of the top prices reached included: £6,100 for a Hitachi EX120 Digger, £6,000 for a Zetor 7242 Tractor and £5,700 for a Ford 4110 Tractor.

The following week saw the timed online collective machinery sale. A smaller entry of 80 lots saw some quality items including many from several continued dairy dispersals. Many happy buyers contributed towards the top prices including: £7,000 for a John Deere 2650 Tractor, £4,300 for 24 Westfalia Surge parlour feeders and £3,000 for a De Laval 8100 Bulk Tank and Compressor.

Up next was the North Somerset Collective machinery sale which landed itself right in the peak of the heatwave! With the aid of a ridiculous quantity of suncream, the team managed to book in over 600 lots in temperatures exceeding 30*C!

Sale day took place with a much-needed breeze greatly appreciated. With over 140 successful buyers, some of the top prices reached including £8,800 for a Land Rover Defender 90, £7,800 for an Elddis Cruiser Caravan and £7,200 for a Massey Ferguson 240 Tractor.

To round off the month Moreleigh Parks Farm Dispersal Machinery Sale took place in Totnes for the Parker family. Another lovely day and amazing views attracted large crowds to come and see the excellent quality kit available. With just 130 lots, selling was fast and furious and resulted in some pleasing prices including:  £71,500 for a JCB TM320S Telehandler, £27,500 for a McCormick MTX150 and £21,000 for a McCormick MTX135.
