A frosty, full-on week ends in success!

Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt found themselves with a very busy week selling 2 dispersal sales on Thursday the 20th and Friday the 21st of November located 103 miles from each other! The early morning starts saw minus temperatures and frost on the sale fields but for both days, glorious sun and clear skies attracted a huge crowd with many buyers from all over the UK, on site as well as online.

Manor and Auckland Farm’s preparation was run with military precision and a clear dedication and respect for all the items from the vendor could be seen in their immaculate condition and presentation which was well reflected by their final prices on Thursday with just under 100 successful buyers all pleased with their day’s efforts. Sale highlights included £96,000 for the 70 plate Fendt 718; £82,000 for the 09 plate New Holland CX8070 Combine; £67,00 for the 15 plate Fendt 724 and £60,000 for the 72 plate Manitou MLT737-130 Telehandler.

The Torbay sale at Occombe Farm, Paignton continue the success of the day before with an excellent turnout of buyers and refreshments in the form of bacon and egg baps keeping the cold out and spirits high as the bidding began! The sales top prices landed with the 15 plate Massey Ferguson 6616 at £46,000; closely followed by the 13 plate Massey Ferguson 7618 at £40,000; the 68 plate Manitou MLT635-140VT achieved £35,000 and £3,000 for the 16 plate Honda ATV.

Auctioneers Tom Mellor commented: ‘’It was a pleasure to be part of the GTH farm sales team that was favoured with instructions to conduct the two sales, in two days, spanning Wiltshire to South Devon. There was an abundance of good quality, tidy equipment on offer which rightly drew fantastic attention on both days. Items on offer included low houred modern tractors, to miscellaneous workshop items, to a barn full of grain, and everything in between! The sales team look ahead to another machinery sale at Sedgemoor in December and other on-farm sales in the pipeline in the not too distant future’’
