Bidding Aplenty at East Worlington, Crediton Machinery Sale

To round off the Perry family’s dispersal after selling their herd of cows back towards the end of 2025, together with the sale of the farm being sold subject to contract with the auctioneers; Greenslade Taylor Hunt joined the Perry Family for their on-farm machinery dispersal sale which was conducted on Wednesday 25th March. Despite seeing every type of weather Britian had to offer from gorgeous sun to a hailstorm, a great turn out of buyers congregated to try their luck at acquiring the excellent condition machinery that the farm had presented. Whilst it wasn’t the largest of sales by quantity with only 120 lots, the quality of the machinery more than made up for that.

Just a few of the sale highlights included: £89,500 for a John Deere 6215R Tractor; £60,000 for a John Deere 6140M Tractor; £56,000 for a Kramer KT407 Telehandler; £49,000 for a John Deere 6130R Tractor; £28,000 for a Strautmann 3601 Forage Wagon and £20,000 for a JCB 85 Digger.

Auctioneer Tom Mellor commented – “The sale at West Burrow Farm for the Perry Family was always going to create a lot of interest, but the expectations were met or exceeded time and time again. The sale featured a host of machines which had been on the farm from new, owner-operated and benefited from having low recorded hours – all the ingredients needs to encourage bidders to dig perhaps a little deeper than they were intending. This sale was a shining example of how the auction system can realise the best prices, with the sale being conducted both live and online”
