Clenchers Dam & Daughter sell for £4,200 at SAC May Collective

Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s May Collective Dairy Sale was a sale was full of milk with quality cows in demand selling to a top of 3650gns for Quantock Gulliver Melba, a March 2nd calver from a consignment of 52 from C & H Ford Farming Ltd (Bridgwater, Somerset), that averaged an impressive £2,799.66.  Other 2nd calvers from the same vendor sold for 3,000gns and 2,950gns.

Calved heifers topped at 3,150gns for regular consigners Rea & Son (Ledbury, Herefordshire), Clenchers Pauly Doll who had calved at 2 years old in April, she was followed through the ring by her month old heifer calf by Trent-Way Rufus ET who sold for 850gns.  Loford Actionman Roxy from RT Cox (Sturminster Newton, Dorset) fresh calved at the beginning of May sold for 3,100gns as did Latterfield Ebersol Lavender 2nd from first time consigners JJ Wooldridge (Stonehouse, Gloucestershire) whose 4 heifers forward on the day averaged an impressive £2,913.75.  Calved heifers from the Quantock Herd also sold to 3,000gns.

The consignment from RC & JL Pickering & Sons (Hadlow, Kent) sold to 2,950gns for an April  commercial calved heifer by Rubels Red, C G Capons (Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) first dispersal consignment topped at 2,850gns for a commercial April 3^rd calver with another April calver this time to her second from R Dacombe (Wimborne, Dorset) selling to 2,750gns for their dispersal.

The incalf heifer trade topped at 3,050gns for Holmead Attico Peach due in June from RT Cox with others due June and August selling for 2,550gns x 2 for DH & C Bennett (Castle Cary, Somerset).

Bulling heifers sold to 1550gns for Normandy Pickfish Roxy Red 5th from RJ Norman (Yeovil, Somerset) with Montbeliarde X heifers from Garrett Bros (Wrington, Bristol) at 1500gns as were 2 x commercial heifers from AR Willcox (Dursley, Gloucestershire).

September 2025 born heifer calves being Holben Exclusive Razzle from Holben Holsteins (Dartford, Kent) sold to 1680gns with the Brown Swiss Holben Tank Delilah 2nd at 1150gns.  Other a lot heifer calves from Clenchers sold to 900gns.
