Consistent trade across the board for commercial all year around calving herd

The removal of Hislop & Sons dairy herd from Calne Wiltshire to SAC produced a consistent trade with all grades of stock selling well.  Both fresh calved cows by NH Sunview Fantastic ET and September calved heifers by Mr Farnear Helix Twitch ET sold to £2310.  Other autumn calved 2nd lactation cows to £2257.50 x 2 & £2205, with third calvers to £2152.50 & fifth calvers to £2047.50.  June 3rd calvers due again in May £2100, May, July and August calvers £2047.50.  With other calved heifers by Boghill Glamour Santos £2205 and Helix Twitch £2152.50 & £2100.  The trade remained consistent with the off lying spring calving cows and those with faults all meeting good demand on the day.

Purchasers from Cornwall to Cheshire and most counties in between made the most of the opportunity to secure these 8633kgs NMR recorded cows and heifers to produce a creditable average of £1680 to include all ages and faults.
