Sedgemoor Market Dash Fundraiser
June 2026
This summer, the auctioneers at Sedgemoor Market are stepping away from the ring and into an exciting challenge, all to raise money for two incredible causes close to our hearts.
On 30th July, five teams will set off in pairs with one mission: to get as far away from Sedgemoor Market as possible in just 12 hours.
It sounds simple, but there’s a twist.
The Challenge
Each team will start with just £20 in their pocket and 12 hours on the clock. The Rules:
- No pre-arranged lifts
- No use of personal cars or vehicles
- No calling someone to come and drive you
- No passports allowed
- Phones are allowed
- Teams can use as many modes of transport as they like
Why We're Doing It
Cancer has affected so many of us over the past 12 months — whether that’s been colleagues, family, or friends.Through this challenge, we are raising funds for:
- Macmillan Cancer Support, providing vital care and support to those living with cancer
- The Derek Mead Health Room, with a particular focus on improving testing access at Sedgemoor for farmers and the wider rural community
These charities provide essential services that make a real difference to people’s lives.
Meet The Teams
Each team has their own fundraising page — so you can support the pair you believe will go the distance (or the ones who might need a little extra encouragement!).
Team 1 – Andy Clements & Russel Thomas
Team 2 – Paul Ashton & Rob Stone
Team 3 – Tom Mellor & Rob Baker
Team 4 – Ryan Doble & Jamie Batt
Team 5 – James Wotton & Osian Richards
