Following the success of the annual Spotlight Sale in June and Online Christmas Spotlight Sale in December, this year we held our first ever Online Embryo Sale, igniting interest nationally.
Johnny Lochead from his famed Kedar Herd in Scotland, consigned Brown Swiss embryos by Goldhill JJ, out of the third consecutive generation of National Champion, Kedar Rosa Ex93 which topped the sale at £600 an embryo. Top price was shared with Nev Roberts of the Dulais Herd, with a mixed flush by Lambda, Stanton Chief, Crushabull and Alligator, out of Dulais Saloon Roxy Ex96, backed by 10 generations averaging 93 points.
Closely followed by another consignment from the Dulais Herd, with a mixed flush by Legend, Sidekick and King Doc, out of Dulais Masterful Amanda Ex95, backed by 9 generations of excellence and Kev Thomas of the Allstar Herd with a Brown Swiss mixed flush by Blooming, Calvin and Daredevil x WF Supreme Norway Ex94, out of the Superior Brood Cow, Jo-Dee Denmark Nookie Ex92. Both of which achieved £550 an embryo.
A clearance of embryos from Mary & Tegwyn Davies created a buzz surrounding the pedigrees on offer, the pedigrees were older but being in the heart of some very good families they saw spirited bidding throughout.
Lots sold to the entire breadth of the UK with a creditable clearance rate of 86%.
