George makes the grade

June 2023

George Williams is celebrating after his hard work has paid off and he can now put the letters MRICS after his name in recognition of gaining his chartered surveyor qualification.

George works for Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Development Land and Planning Department and has been working towards his APC qualification since joining the firm as a graduate trainee in 2021.

Mark Chugg, Partner in Charge of Land and Planning said: “I am delighted to report that George has passed his APC.

I would also like to thank those that have helped and supported George with his training, development and given him advice leading up to the interview and in particular Andrew Preston who has assisted him throughout.”

George said the training required commitment and while the final assessment was challenging it was well worth it.

He was supported throughout the process by colleague Andrew Preston MRICS and the wider GTH firm.

George explained: “I had regular meetings with Andrew. This was to ensure I gain sufficient exposure to my chosen competencies, at the various levels required as part of the APC 24-month structure training programme.

In the run up to my final assessment I had multiple mock interviews with colleagues. These were extremely beneficial in helping me prepare for my final assessment.”

Before joining GTH George undertook a degree in Real Estate at the University of Reading.
