Sedgemoor Auction Centre
Updated 7th September 2020
Please note the Government have made it mandatory for people to wear masks when in a livestock market.
Please help to protect yourself & those around you & kindly bring a mask to wear.
Notice of the return of vendors subject to social distancing rules:
One vendor per business is now allowed to remain in market and see their stock sold provided they maintain social distancing and wear a mask. Sheep vendors may stand in an adjacent alley but not in their pen or in the alley within which the buyers stand. Vendors may pick their sheep or attend to their milking cows. Whilst wearing a mask vendors are to maintain a minimum of 1m+ distance between themselves and all other market users and staff. Vendors are required to sanitise their hands on arrival and re-sanitise during their stay. Vendors are not to shake hands or make contact with others and are to keep their stay to as short as period of time as possible. Vendors are not to collect a vendor statement printout to therefore reduce congregation at the office counter. All sale results will be emailed at the close of the market. Please ensure your email is on the entry form. If vendors can avoid attending to reduce the pressure on social distancing rules it would be appreciated. No social visits or on looking allowed. Genuine vendors only.
Please see sales list below for confirmation of special sale dates https://www.gth.net/auctions/agricultural/results
Buyers will be restricted to allow Social Distancing (wear a mask & 1m+ between each buyer). Buyers MUST sanitise on entry to the market and on exiting again. Buyers may only attend individually without any partners, children or others. Buyers where possible should “double up” and buy for multiple clients. Any buyer who does not actually secure a purchase MUST register with the office after the sale.
Hauliers MUST ensure their name and contact details are recorded on the entry form for the stock they are delivering.
All other health precautions detailed below continue to apply.
