The Brief
We were appointed by a land promoter to manage the preparation and submission of an outline planning application for development comprising up to 100 dwellings.
The Result
We were initially successful in persuading the Council to include the land as a draft allocation in the emerging Local Plan. The stalling of the Local Plan process, combined with the Council being unable to demonstrate a five year housing land supply, resulted in a change in strategy and a decision to progress with a planning application more quickly.
We project managed the team of technical consultants and urban designers to ensure the submission of a high quality and robust application, following meaningful public consultation.
A resolution to grant planning permission (subject to S106) was confirmed by the South Somerset Area Planning Committee and we will now proceed to sell the site.
