Yeovil - Marketing Assistant - Full Time

The role of the Marketing Assistant is to be in the frontline of the marketing department, primarily managing day-to-day activities and ad hoc requests coming from across the firm. Alongside this, the role includes assisting other members of team in key strategic projects, events, advert requests and maintaining contact with external suppliers.  

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role includes:

  • Responding to requests and queries from across our office network by monitoring the marketing email inbox and handling calls
  • Managing advert requests 
  • Supporting the creation and proofing stages of our bi-annual magazine 
  • Supporting our ecomms programme by building and sending quality communications
  • Upholding our digital reputation by monitoring our online presence and working with the team on our SEO and website strategy
  • Supporting the development of advertising campaigns and literature
  • Monitoring and re-ordering stocks of literature, merchandise etc.
  • Assisting in the creation, production and distribution of marketing materials, literature and merchandise
  • Supporting the production of internal newsletters and other internal communications
  • Supporting the successful running of events
  • Upholding our brand ‘tone of voice’ and brand guidelines
  • Assisting with content for our social channels
  • Building relationships with the firm’s partners and staff and encouraging the sharing of ideas
  • Supporting the marketing team in wider projects as required
Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level
  • A marketing qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in working in a marketing function
  • Ability to multitask and run multiple projects over varying time periods
  • A good eye for detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach

Taunton - Office Administrator (Block and Estate Management)

The Role:
This is a full time, permanent position commencing asap.

An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to support our Block and Estate Management team in our busy office in Taunton.  The role is key to the success of the department in providing excellent service to both external and internal customers. This is a demanding role in a busy environment.

Specific tasks include:

  • Filing, administration, archiving, scanning of documents.
  • Preparing documents invoices, statements and schedules using MS products and our property management database.
  • Being part of the extended team answering telephone enquiries, directing calls, assisting with queries and taking messages.
  • Working alongside our accounts department dealing with any accounting queries.
  • Liaising with contractors, clients, accountants and other stakeholders.
  • Progress chasing as directed.  Liaising with other departments and reporting to Head of Department accordingly.
  • Supporting other members of the team as and when required.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have a great attitude to work, be personable and extremely keen to learn.  The right candidate needs to have previous experience in working in a busy multi-disciplined department.  Previous experience is essential using MS products including Word, Excel and Publisher. Previous experience using a database would be preferable, although full training will be given.  A computer aptitude test will be required as part of the interview process.

Bridgwater - Full Time Lettings Negotiator

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing our clients with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service whilst at the same time providing excellent support for the local team. This is a home based role, attending tenanted properties to conduct periodic inspections on behalf of our Landlords.  

 You will effectively work as part of a team ensuring that our clients’ expectations are not just met but exceeded.
 
 To be considered for the role of House Inspector you will have:

  • Experience working in the lettings environment, ideally within the residential property sector
  • Good working knowledge of using an iPad to complete inspection reports and taking photos

Taunton - Property Maintenance Administrator – Residential Lettings (Fixed term contract for 4 months) 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Taunton Lettings Maintenance Team, which services all of our 1,500 residential let properties across the Somerset, Devon and Dorset areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing our clients with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service including liaising with Landlords, Tenants, internal Stakeholders and insurance companies, logging repairs onto our computer system, sourcing competitive quotes for works, issuing works orders, progressing works through to completion and approving invoices.  

You will effectively work as part of a small maintenance team ensuring that our clients’ expectations are not just met, but exceeded.

This is a busy, fast moving role, and the ideal candidate will need to be resilient, have the ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure at all times.

This is a full time role, working Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm.  Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.

Lettings Property Manager (Somerset Branches) – Residential Lettings Division

The successful candidates must have;

  • An ARLA qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous lettings experience of at least 2 years
  • Previous management experience leading a small team
  • Proven track record in valuations and building new business

  • Excellent, highly organised administrative and typing skills

Intermediate Architectural Technician - Taunton

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Architectural Services Team in the Taunton Development Land & Planning Office, as an Intermediate Architectural Technician.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing our clients with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service on a variety of diverse projects, through all stages of the RIBA plan of work, with particular emphasis on the production of building regulations drawings and providing technical and building regulations knowledge and assistance to the Architectural Team. As a technician you will be heavily involved in the preparation of the building regulations drawings and submissions and manage the process, lead on the technical design element of the project, assist with the development of standard details and assist the team with the construction detailing and technical drawings. You will work as part of a small and dynamic design team ensuring that our clients’ expectations are not just met, but exceeded.

To be considered for the role you will have:

•    Proven experience as an architectural technician, working on a diverse range of projects, including residential new build, conversion and refurbishment, listed and agricultural projects
•    Excellent knowledge of Autocad and an excellent technical knowledge of construction and the current building regulations is essential
•    Knowledge of REVIT is advantageous
•    Knowledge of NBS and specification writing is advantageous
•    Excellent communication skills
•    The ability to work well under pressure
•    Evidence of being able to perform well as an individual and as part of a team

This is a full time, permanent position. A degree qualification or similar level in Architectural Technology, Construction or the Built environment would be extremely advantageous but not essential, qualified by experience would also be considered, with a minimum 3 years’ proven experience of working on and an understanding of the current building regulations.
