Burnham-on-Sea - Part-Time Lettings Manager or Negotiator (initially 3 month contract) 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Burnham on Sea team, which manages a large portfolio of residential let properties across the Burnham on Sea and Wells area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing our clients with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service including liaising with Landlords, Tenants and internal Stakeholders.  Compliance is also a big part of this role; ensuring that at all times our Landlords and Tenants are complying with the most up to date legislation for residential properties.

You will effectively work as part of a small, multi-disciplined team ensuring that our clients’ expectations are not just met, but exceeded.  

This is a busy, fast moving role, and the ideal candidate will need to be resilient, have the ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure at all times.

This is a part time role (initially for 3 months) covering the current post holders secondment to another GTH office, working 3 days per week, 8.45am – 5.30pm and every other Saturday 9am – 1pm. Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for a dynamic, confident and motivated Lettings Manager/Negotiator.

The successful candidate must have;

  • An ARLA qualification
  • Previous lettings experience of at least 2 years
  • Previous management experience leading a small team
  • Proven track record in valuations and building new business
  • An outgoing and confident personality
  • A driven and pro-active approach to work
  • Excellent, highly organised administrative and typing skills
  • Efficient approach with an ability to work independently
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent MS Office Skills

Yeovil - Part-Time Office Administrator 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Yeovil Office as a Part Time administrator.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing our clients with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service whilst at the same time providing excellent administrative support for the local team.  
 
You will effectively work as part of a team ensuring that our clients’ expectations are not just met but exceeded.
 
To be considered for the role of Office Administrator you will have:

  • Experience working as an administrator, ideally within the property sector
  • An outgoing and confident personality
  • A driven and pro-active approach to work
  • Excellent administrative and typing skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with an efficient proactive approach and ability to use own initiative
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
The role will require you to work 8.45am – 5.30pm,  3 days per week (Monday – Friday) plus every Saturday 9am – 4pm.

Yeovil - Trainee or Junior Negotiator 

We are seeking a Trainee or Junior Negotiator to work on a full time, permanent basis, based in Yeovil.  Salary is highly competitive. Hours of work will be Tuesday to Friday 8.45am – 5.30pm and Saturday 9.00am – 4.00pm.

Planning Consultant - Taunton

This is a full time, permanent position commencing asap.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Consultant in our busy Development, Land & Planning department in Taunton.  This is a demanding role in a busy environment.   You will be working amongst a dedicated and vibrant team of Planning Consultants and Architectural professionals based in our Taunton Office.

Main responsibilities

Some of the main duties include;

  • Manage individual workload and cases
  • Provide initial Planning Feasibility Advice, carry out detailed research and local plan work including representations
  • Be responsible for the preparation and submission of planning applications to include Planning Statements and all associated documentation
  • Create and submit refusal appeals
  • Pitch for professional instructions
The Successful Candidate

Must have;
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Understanding of residential, commercial and agricultural planning
  • Relevant qualifications (MRTPI preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Would suit a Planning Officer with Local Government experience
  • Ability to lead and influence others
This will suit a dynamic forwarding thinking individual who is currently working in a similar role who wants to embark upon a new and interesting role.
